Global Payroll Transformation & System Integration for American Multinational Firm

Overview

Client Challenge

The client, a major American multinational firm, sought to implement a comprehensive payroll transformation across two major markets—the UK and India—and 10 mid-sized countries. The project included the implementation of ADP GlobalView (GV) for the UK and India, along with the rollout of another ADP payroll product across the additional countries. The project also included Workday-to-ADP integration, T&A (Time & Attendance) system implementation, process harmonization, and a finance transformation initiative.

The client required strategic adjustments to the rollout plan, addressing operational resources bandwidth, resourcing needs, and identifying key gaps in the process.

Our Solution

ProHRPay Consulting Services led this high-profile transformation, ensuring the successful execution of a complex global payroll and system integration project. Our key activities included:

Strategic Rollout & Project Plan Adjustments:
  • Worked closely with the client to review and adjust the global rollout plan, taking into account resource bandwidth, resourcing needs, and operational constraints across regions.

  • Developed a comprehensive strategy to ensure the timely execution of payroll implementation across multiple countries while minimizing disruptions to existing operations
Payroll Implementation & Process Harmonization:
  • Led the implementation of ADP GlobalView for the UK and India, ensuring these major markets were aligned with the client’s global payroll objectives.

  • Rolled out ADP’s alternative payroll product across 10 mid-sized countries, ensuring integration across the entire payroll ecosystem.

  • Conducted process harmonization across all countries, standardizing payroll procedures, compensation structures, and benefits administration to ensure consistency and compliance
Workday to ADP Integration:
  • Orchestrated the integration of Workday HRIS to ADP GlobalView, ensuring seamless data flow between systems, enhancing data accuracy and simplifying payroll operations.

  • Managed data mapping between Workday and ADP to ensure smooth migration of employee data, including compensation, benefits, tax information, and time and attendance data.
T&A System Implementation:
  • Implemented a robust Time & Attendance (T&A) system, optimizing workforce scheduling and attendance tracking to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Ensured smooth integration of T&A with payroll, allowing accurate wage calculations based on employee hours worked
Change Management & Resourcing Strategy:
  • Led change management initiatives, ensuring that the client’s teams were prepared for system changes and the adoption of new processes.

  • Addressed resource gaps and identified critical resourcing needs, ensuring that operational bandwidth was managed and team members were adequately trained and supported
Data Migration & Testing (UAT & Parallel Runs):
  • Oversaw data migration efforts, ensuring accurate transfer of employee and payroll data from legacy systems to ADP GlobalView and the additional payroll product.

  • Led User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and parallel testing to ensure the new systems were functioning correctly and meeting client requirements before go-live.

Results:
